5 Tea’s and Benefits Every Yogi Should Love

I probably could have considered writing this in the winter, when we get cozy with tea, baths, and sitting by a hot fire sound amazing. But, instead, I am writing this in the summer when I prefer my tea iced. Who knows maybe you’ll find this next fall and it’ll be what you need.

Okay, I’ll stop my ramble there.

It seems to be kind of a cliche thing for a yogi to love tea. Not sure why, but I’m going to slip right into the stereotype today… let’s have a tea party!

I used to be a coffee all day everyday kinda woman, but one day I got bored with the triple shot espresso and decided to drink tea. I got a little obsessed and began to really love the magic of heating up hot water. Carefully concocting the perfect cup with love in every sip.

The beautiful thing about this, is later I discovered how many amazing health benefits can come from those loose leaves in a bag. I thought I’d share some of my favorites with you today!

RASPBERRY LEAF TEA:

The tea invented for women’s health. This is amazing for that time of the month when your uterus feels like it’s tieing itself in knots. It helps soothe the cramps and bloating. Raspberry leaf also helps inflammation and is packed with some amazing vitamins, including magnesium which is really great! It also helps your skin glow and so many others!

HIBISCUS TEA:

Mmm, this tea is pink and tastes¬†sweet, a little tart, and delicious. It is great for the heart, blood, inflammation, improves digestion, and is said to help in losing weight. This one is another one good one for women! It’s very uplifting and is perfect for the morning hot or iced.

ECHINACEA:

This is the ultimate immune fighter! Echinacea has so many benefits from cold, flu, cancer, and inflammation. It has your back. It is really delicious with a little local honey to help with allergies and more immune boosting. It’s relaxing and soothing, which can help you unwind from a stressful day.

LICORICE TEA:

My favorite use for this type of tea is how soothing it is when you have an itchy or sore throat. It tastes so yummy and has lasting effects. Licorice is said to be another soothing tea to help lift your spirits and feel good. It is also said to be good for your blood and of course inflammation.

GREEN TEA:

Green tea is the perfect pick me up in the middle of the day. It has some caffeine to help you wake up and get going. You might know this to be known for helping weight loss, it seems to be a popular benefit. But it is also great for your skin, immune system, and feeling uplifted. I love replacing coffee with some green tea.
