6 Ways That Will Motivate ANYONE
Talk, talk, talk, and not enough do. I’ll do this, that, and someday…maybe. Hmm, yes I’ve been a creature of bad habits often enough to know how to break out of the shell. You’ve got to know within yourself that big day dreams can become reality if you just do it. Life is too short not to act on big impact.
What are some things that have been twirling in your head and you just haven’t done them yet. Big or small you’ve got to pick up the ball and shoot for the stars. There is no other way to find out what you are all about. Explore a little more. You could surprise yourself. In fact, I’m almost sure of it.
So first things first, get up and start gaining that motivation! What you resist persists. Stop resisting and start putting energy into things that will give you new adventure. Jot down some idea’s with me, and let’s get going!
Grab a pen and paper, not your phone. An actual pen and paper.
1: Drop what is not serving you today.
I’ve talked about this a lot, because I have really been implementing this into my life lately. It has really pushed me more than I’d imagined. It is really hard at first, but once you feel the difference you’ll thank yourself. Who in your life is bringing you down and who is bringing you up? Recognize it and be around the people who are bringing you up. Even if you have to pull away from everyone but you that day.
Habits, good or bad just a tad. You are in power of every single decision you make today, tomorrow, and forever. I hear all the time of people who give away their power to whatever bad habit they’ve created. Why would you allow this? Start the day off by the best of the best type of routine to create better habits by the end. I know this from experience it works. For instance if you are trying to eat better, get up and eat your favorite healthy breakfast, drink a nice big glass of cold water, and watch your being crave another healthy lunch.
What things are around you? Same idea, create all good things around you. It’s important to give yourself love and be aware of what things are next to you.
Who, what, where? Write down every thing that inspires you. What gives you that fuzzy feeling inside?
One of my favorite things to do is make a vision board. Get ideas from magazines. Maybe, its a person who inspires you, get them in your life. Your thoughts become your actions. So start thinking of only the things that drive your ambition.
3. Get in Character.
I once read something along the lines of, if you don’t feel like working out, put on your workout clothes, then decide whether or not you are going to hit the gym. I tried this, and almost every time I ended up doing it. It gave me that feeling of actually wanting to instead of just putting on pj’s and saying “Nah, I don’t feel like it”.
Interesting enough your body responds to what role you are playing for the day. Put on business clothes and go to the park, how out of place do you feel? But put on business clothes and go to a business you will feel important and ready to talk serious. So, whatever you want to be, start dressing the part.
4. Take care of your body.
This is a huge one in my world. When I don’t feel good in my own skin, I don’t feel motivated. I used to wake up drink 4 cups of coffee and by 3 pm I needed a nap. Huh? But I drank all that caffeine to stay awake.
The day I decided I’d to replace my coffee with vitamins, and drink water in the morning was the day it clicked. Coffee dehydrates your body, and this stops it from absorbing nutrients. As we all know our bodies are meant to run on water. I’ll stop myself for a long rant now.
I’m not saying you have to cut out coffee. I’m saying drink water first, watch your intake, and maybe take some vitamins for your day. Click here for the 3 step nutrition I love and recommend. Contact me, if you’d like any more information, how to order, or anything else.
Put good things into your body, move it, stretch it, and love it.
5. Listen more.
Chatty Kathy, shhhh. I am guilty of talking way more than I should, and just listening. Talking is just saying out loud what you already know. Listening is the act of taking in new energy. Maybe, to gain inspiration, motivation, or ideas you need to start listening a little more.
After doing yoga for about a year, I went through a period of time where I saw myself listening, but not intently. I was just letting things go in one ear and out the other. After changing my ways. I noticed myself actually slowing down and engaging with others knowledge. It was really nice. It felt good. I noticed if I wasn’t liking what was being said, I was walking away instead of pretending to listen to be nice. I was filling my head with only positivity.
Who knows maybe it is the opposite and you need to speak up. I have also been here before too. I notice, I bounce around where my attention goes, in the circulation of my energy. Life is a practice.
6. Never get too full.
When you over eat you get tired right? So with that reminder if you get too full on life what’s going to happen? Stay hungry for life. Remind your mind what you are after.
I know you already know how much I love to journal. I love writing down my goals, desires, and aspirations. The more I seem to write them down. The more I seem to create more gateways to get there. Know the path you are on and honor it. Get excited about the things you are doing.
Maybe, you need to tell someone who will listen to all of your ideas. I know for me this is my family, and my love. They seem to let me ramble about what I’m coming up with. I am so grateful for this.
What makes you stay in gear? Maybe, it’s art, or music? Find it, and do it.
Through everything it is important to keep going.
It can be hard when your down to get back up. Things get tough, I know. Keep going, persist, fight. and get there. Even if you don’t get there as fast as you once thought. However, step back and take a look at where you’ve come from. What got you here, and what’s going to get you there. Stay with it. I believe in you.
If it is not okay, then its not over yet. Feed your self with ideas that enlighten your spirit. Optimism is your friend, get to know it more. Your ideas are big ones. You can and will do great things.
